The JSL Tutor must be Deaf &/or Hard of Hearing and will support the delivery of all JSL programmes for teachers, students and parents via classroom instruction and home-based stimulation. S/he will participate in the data management system of performance tracking and the resource development process to promote effective bilingual Deaf Education.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experiences

  • Must have at least four subjects at the GCE O’Levels /CXC /CSEC (General)

  • Classroom and JSL Instruction experience are desirable

  • Highly respected, demonstrate a high level of Deaf pride and possess native JSL fluency

  • Effective instructional skills, professional, flexible and a considerate team-player.
