Governance
The Jamaica Association for the Deaf (JAD) is managed by a 13 member executive board, led by a Chair and Vice-Chair.
As Trust for the Danny Williams School for the Deaf, Lister Mair/Gilby High School for the Deaf and the St Christopher's School for the Deaf, the JAD provides oversight to each of those School Boards in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
As a standard practice all standing boards for the JAD and related schools include at least one Deaf community representative to support inclusive governance.
Daily operations are managed by an Executive Director with the support of a management team to guide core areas in administration, social enterprise management, social services, and education & training.
